ABISS

 


ABISS (Association for Banking Information Security Standards) is a non-profit partnership, a community of users of the Central Bank of Russia's standards for ensuring information security of banking system organizations Of the Russian Federation. The full name is "Community of users of the ABYSS Information Security Standards".

History

The ABISS community was established in February 2006. The first bank to join the community was Moskovsky bank "Metrobank".

In 2011, the ABISS community was transformed into a non-profit partnership.

Activity

The purpose of the partnership is to create conditions for the implementation of standards and rules in the Russian financial environment aimed at ensuring information security in credit and other organizations participating in the national payment system of Russia.

The organization develops and implements standards and rules for business activities in the field of information security in organizations primarily in the credit and financial sector. Conducts research in the field of effective application of information security standards and rules. Performs regular updates and improvements Standard of the Bank of Russia on ensuring information security of organizations of the banking system of the Russian Federation.

ABISS member status entitles the company to provide a full range of services in the field of implementing Bank of Russia information security standards and to assess the compliance of credit and financial institutions with the requirements of the standardSTO BR IBBS.

Today, ABISS members include the most powerful organizations whose activities are aimed at developing and promoting the Bank of Russia Standard. These organizations have experience and knowledge, highly qualified personnel, and a methodological base.
