AG20

The AG20 is an amphibious all-terrain vehicle powered by ultra-low pressure tires. The main designer of the all-terrain vehicle is Alexey Garagashyan, who previously developed the Sherpall-terrain vehicle. The name "AG20" stands for Alexey GAragashyan, the twentieth all-terrain.

Design features

In technical terms, "AG20" is very similar to its predecessor - "Sherpa", but at the same time, it has a number of differences.

Both all-terrain vehicles have a sealed body made of high-strength steel and aluminum alloys, an on-board rotary design, tubeless ultra-low-pressure tires and a pneumocirculatory suspension with exhaust gas pumping of the wheels. "AG20" also has a mid-engine layout, the power unit is a 1.5-liter Kubota v1505-t/e3b diesel engine with a capacity of 44.3 hp. Fuel consumption is 2-3 liters per hour, depending on the type of soil.

Compared to the Sherpa, the AG20 has a more spacious and comfortable interior designed for long trips. Instead of levers, a steering wheel is installed, on which, as in an airplane, the buttons of the main controls are displayed. A tablet computer with a 15"touch screen occupies a central place on the steering wheel. All windows in the "AG20" are double-glazed, the side front windows open, and do not move as on the "Sherpa". A three-person tent can be installed on the roof of the all-terrainvehicle.

In technical terms, the all-terrain vehicle also has significant differences. Side chains are located in sealed oil baths. Torque is transmitted from the engine via a 5-speed gearbox to two planetary turning mechanisms via two driveshafts, rather than an intermediate chain transmission, as was the case on the Sherpa. The load on the output shafts of the gearbox compared to the "Sherpa" is reduced by 2.5 times. For better cooling, a larger radiator from Toyota Land Cruiser is installed. Instead of Sherpa tires with a size of 1600x600-25", the prototype AG20 first used Trom tires with a size of 1650x570-25". Currently, the all-terrain vehicle is equipped with tires AG2, size 1600x600-25", also developed by Alexey Garagashyan
