 Altai State Institute of Culture is a higher educational institution in the field of culture and arts in the Russian Federation.Barnaul.



History

In accordance with the decision of the Council of Ministers of the USSR No. 508 of June 20 , 1974, the bureau of the regional Committee of the CPSU and the executive committee of the Regional Council of People's Deputies of Workers decided to open in the city Barnaul State Institute of Culture since 1975-1976 academic year.


In 1995, the institute received a new status and was renamed the Altai State Institute of Arts and Culture (AGIIK), and in 2005 the university received the status of an academy.


In the fall of 2015, the name Altai State Institute of Culture was returned to the university.


Located in three buildings, the main one is located inLeninsky district on Yurina Street.

The Institute employs 168 full-time teachers, 105 of them with degrees and titles, including 20 % of doctors and professors, 12.6 % are awarded honorary titles of federal significance, and 4.6 % are members of creative unions of Russia.
