AGK-47

Aviagorizont AGK-47-combined, electric, consists of three devices mounted in one housing: aviagorizont, turn signal and slide indicator. The air horizon is used to determine the position of the aircraft relative to the horizon. The principle of operation is based on the property of the main axis of a free gyroscope keep the dowry position unchanged in space. It has the following modifications AGK-47B, AGK-47V, AGK-47VK-discontinued approximately in 1992. During the Soviet era, it was also produced in Poland, as well as many other aircraft in the framework of cooperation of social countries. For 2009, upgraded versions of the AGK-47U, AGK-47UK and AGK-47US are being produced. It is used on AN-2, AN-3 aircraft and Mi-2, Mi-4, Mi-6, Ka-25 and Ka-26helicopters.

The sensitive element of the aircraft horizon is a gyroscope with a vertical position of the main axis. The axis of rotation of the rotor is tilted forward in flight at an angle of 2 to reduce errors during turns. The gyroscopic node of the horizon consists of a gyromotorrotating at a speed of 20,000-22,000 rpm. The gyromotor is powered by a three-phase voltage of 36 V, with a frequency of 400 Hz.

The motor rotor is made of high-strength iron plates and has a short-circuited winding cast from aluminum alloy. The rotor rotates outside the stator to increase the gyroscopic moment. The stator pack is also assembled from dynamite iron plates. In its 12 slots there is a three-phase two-pole winding connected by a star. The gyromotor is placed in the casing, which is also the internal frame of the gimbal. The internal gimbal frame is mounted on two bearings in the external frame. The external frame of the gimbal on two bearings is fixed in the housing. The axis of rotation of the external frame of the gimbal is located parallel to the transverse axis of the aircraft, the axis of the internal frame is parallel to the longitudinal axis of the aircraft.

On the front side of the outer frame, pitch and cross-roll scales are reinforced. On the gimbal node, the silhouette of the aircraft is fixed, and the horizon line index is connected to the instrument body and can be raised or lowered using the handle.
